Overview:

We’re looking for a driven, self-starting Sales Representative to grow and build out our territory in the greater Montgomery County, Maryland area.

About the Role:

As the Field Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of Sales Representatives across Montgomery County, driving retail and on-premise execution, and making Trippy Goat the top-of-mind vodka in every store and bar. You’ll lead from the front—training, motivating, analyzing KPIs, and making strategic decisions that impact brand performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a growing team of Sales Representatives across Montgomery County

  • Set clear weekly/monthly sales targets and track rep performance against KPIs

  • Drive accountability and consistency in route planning, call execution, and coverage

  • Participate in ride-alongs and field visits regularly to coach reps and build customer relationships

  • Work with distribution partners to ensure supply, delivery, and merchandising execution

  • Collaborate with Marketing to plan and oversee local activations and tasting events

  • Strategize territory growth plans, ensuring aggressive expansion of retail and on-premise accounts

  • Ensure effective new account openings and pull-through across the market

  • Analyze sales trends and competitor activity, reporting insights to HQ leadership

  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers

  • Represent the brand at regional industry events, tastings, and key partner meetings

  • Manage product allocations, placements, displays, and promotional spend

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for alcohol sales and distribution

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or field sales management role (Spirits, Wine, Beer, or CPG preferred)

  • Proven experience managing and motivating sales teams

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a data-driven approach to decision making

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Experience working with distributor partners and managing field activation

  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in the field daily and travel throughout Montgomery County

  • Occasionally required to lift and transport materials/products up to 65 pounds

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during events, tastings, or retail visits

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed for activations
